Privacy Policy

ShiftPay is built to need no personal data. The calculators run in your browser, so the pay figures you enter are processed on your own device and never uploaded to a server. This "local first" design is the core of the site: the math happens on the page you are viewing, not on a remote computer we control.

We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email, or location. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect any. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile attached to the numbers you type. You can use every tool without telling us who you are.

What we do not collect. We do not record the rates, hours, or results you calculate. We do not place identifiers that follow you from page to page within ShiftPay, and we do not build a profile of your pay or your employer. Because the math happens locally, your inputs are not visible to us at any point. We also do not read your clipboard or access other sites you visit.

Analytics. ShiftPay does not run cross-site analytics that track you between websites. If a basic, privacy-respecting page-count is ever used, it is aggregated and cannot be tied back to the figures you entered. We do not use browser fingerprinting or hidden identifiers to recognize your device across visits.

Data retention. Because we do not collect your inputs, there is nothing about your calculations for us to store or delete. Any setting saved by your own browser — such as a cookie that remembers your ad choices — stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings.

Third-party data. The only external parties that may receive information are advertising vendors, and only if advertising is enabled. They act under their own policies, and you can limit what they collect through the opt-out links in the Advertising & Cookies section below.

What cookies we use

If advertising is enabled, the site may use standard web cookies to remember basic settings and to help the ad network measure impressions. No cookie we set contains your pay figures — those never leave your device.

Third-party vendors

We may use a third-party advertising vendor (such as Google AdSense) to serve ads. That vendor may use cookies and similar technologies governed by its own privacy policy, not by ShiftPay.

DoubleClick Cookie

Google's DoubleClick advertising cookie lets Google and its partners serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of interest-based advertising via the controls described below.

Your ad choices (opt-out)

You can disable personalised advertising, or opt out of the DoubleClick cookie, at Google Ads Settings and via the industry opt-out at aboutads.info. Disabling personalised ads does not remove ads, but stops them being tailored to you.
